Everything

I never could accept moving. I still can't accept it. I turn around or look at a place in the house and expect what would normally be there to be there, but it's not. Tonight I blog from the floor of my room. All the furniture is gone to the new house. I'm on a sleeping bag as I type this. As of now, I have only my memories of what this house once was. But those memories are damn near legendary. You could say I grew up in this house, having been here since I was 10. I walked into this place a 4-foot midget in the 5th Grade. I remember running all over the house the first day, thinking "Wow this is our new house! It's huge!" Now I'm walking out of here a 6-foot 18 year old. So much changed. Life and its responsibilities are finally in my hands as I leave here. I learned, made friends, laughed, got in trouble, hid from my parents, sneaked out, slept, but most of all, lived here. And I'm never gonna forget that. It's not so much the building itself that I don't want to leave, but it's the fact that I'm comfortable here. Everything I know happened while I lived here. At the end of the day, this was home for me.

And having your best friends living in the same neighbourhood is just amazing. I know now that if it wasn't for these awesome people that I would probably have wanted to move a long time ago. From riding bicycles and playing ManHunt as kids, going to Sean's with a hot pot of rice, playing basketball 'til midnight and pissing off all the neighbours, skateboarding until someone called the cops, laughing 'til it hurt, to making the Skolla Scooter and then breaking it, planning out some of the most epic presents ever, to just playing video games because we had nothing better to do. I could go on for I have no idea how long about all the stuff we've done over these eight years.

So to my friends brothers Shane, Neil, Sean, Mike, Karl, and Josh here at 686 Warden Avenue, thank you for being the most awesome people I know. And yes, Neil, I'm going to get my G2.

Live from the 686 for the last time,

Sushi
